I used I pealed golden potatoes, I like how they hold their shape and texture. I also used more mushrooms....just cause I really like them. I sauté the onions and mushrooms for that extra yummy flavor. Four pieces of real bacon did the trick. Hope you enjoy!

Veggie Stew
This is a yummy soup.

Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. crushed peppermints (candies NOT candy canes)
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375. Mix sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla, and egg in medium bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to sugar mixture.
3. Stir in candies and chocolate chips.
4. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
